Trouble with StarOffice 5.1

Greetings:

  I am having trouble with the install script for star office 5.1.
Assuming a single user, I log on as my user name and go to
/mnt/cdrom/linux/office51 but when I run the setup script (./setup) i
recieve the error: Permission denied.  I tried to do this with root and
I recieved the same Permission denied error.  I looked at the file
permissions, and it is set to execute (-r-xr-xr-x    1 root    root
86960 Aug 11 107:49 setup).  My question is what could be the problem?
