domain cyberone.com.au

The ip number of www.cyberone.com.au is 212.115.192.193
web1.canberra.net.au is 203.29.91.161 are you sure you have the ip numbers
correct for what your isp has as his address and what his nameserver is.?

resolv.conf is the problem i think, or it could contribute to the problem,
can you resolv hostnames,? for example does nslookup work,

nslookup 44.137.28.48 should return to you;
pa3gcu.ampr.org

If thats ok then it looks like you dont have a default route which would
give all the symptoms you describe.

I doubt if netscape has frozen on you, it does that when it cant resolve a
host, that would indicate that you cant resolv hostnames, thats why i gave
the example above. If thats the case check all your routes.

route add default gw your_isp ppp0
But ppp should have set that at link time.
