Netscape got stuck in the menu handling routine. In this phase all
events go to the menu and if that does not respond any more, the whole
GUI seems to have crashed.
But: It hasn't! There is just no way to put live back to X using the
mouse and keyboard. You have to log into the box over the network, kill
netscape and X will be back.
As an answer to your question: Netscape is very sensitive to cosmic
radiation, changing bits in RAM as they hit it. Put a thick lead jacket
around your box and you will be fine.
