Hi, I hear mp3 files at a very low quality using X11Amp.I hear also bad the wav files in KDE if the file contains a fragment of melody. Simple sounds like "train", "cow" are OK. I hear the same files very well in Win95. The card is AD1618 (Analog Devices). The modules I use are sb and opl3. I can hear very well music CD. In iapnp.conf I have: for sb IO 0 (size 16)(Base 0x0220) # IO base alignment 32 bytes for opl3 IO 1 (Size 16)(Base 0x0388) # IO base alignment 8 bytes irq=5 dma=0 What is "IO base alignment" ? Maybe I have not the right module, maybe is something wrong in isapnp.conf ? Regards, Cristian
