First - I'd like to express my deep appreciation to all
the Gurus who take time from their busy schedules
to shepherd the newbies like myself.
I have learned a lot from all of you. Thank you!
I would recommend that the major gurus (Lawson the Richard for example)
include a pointer / hyperlink in their messages (right at the top)
to one of the Linux archives with a message to try
the archive first.
The following link has over 5000 newbie messages and
responses. It has answered a number of my questions.
http://www.geocrawler.com/lists/3/Linux (Capitol L in Linux)
There must be 20 lists for every aspect of Linux. Additionally, one level up
are mailing lists for Red Hat, and other Linux/Unix Flavors.
I think you have to register to get access to the lists, but it is
free.
If there is an archive at Rutgers - it would work just as well.
