I've just installed Slackware 7.0 after wiping out my old 3.6 and I'm
having fun configuring it. I have a few newbie questions I haven't found
answers to in my reading.

1: Is there a utility to view all the available colors in Linux. What I
mean is when I tell an app in a config file to use "DarkSlateGrey" or
whatever, is there a program I can run to see what DarkSlateGrey
actually looks like?

2: Is there a way to open an xterm as root or automagically log in as
root after it opens (preferably right from .xinitrc). I find I keep
changing between normal user and su so much, I thought it would be
easier to have one xterm on my desktop with a -title of "root", so I'd
remember not to play in there unless I need to and yet I wouldn't have
to keep doing the su password thing. I sometimes forget "whoami" and I
thought an xterm dedicated to root on my desktop may help remind me who
I am!
