No cdrom, then corel linux is out.
Slackware comes to mind, its a complete system, however its installable in
parts, which means you can install what you want after installing the
base_system.
Check out httpd://www.slackware.com
You can install from floppys,
all series directorys are made to fit on floppys,
you download what you require and place the directorys onto flopps
using the "makefloppy" disk.
