Fairly common e-mail server for NT Networks. > In netscape, I set my Edit/Preferences/Mail Servers to IMAP. > This allowed me to have > multiple mail servers. > > I added a new mail server which was named "123.123.12.1" (I > used the IP address of our server) > This is correct. Exchange supports several different formats of mail retrieval which allows for standard internet e-mail clients to attach to it. If your network has DNS, you could use the DNS name for the Exchange server, or if your PC had been Windows based, you could have used the Mail Server's NT Name. > I still don't have the address book... > You won't. The address book portion (and non-email portions) of Exchange server are only accessible by Outlook-comatible e-mail clients that authenticate through NT Security. You are authenticating in a clear-text mode, so the server assumes that you are a 'remote' connection to the NT server and not a proper user of the domain, so it won't feed you the address book. Even Outlook Express (even though it's an MS product) won't get the address book, nor will Outlook configured as an Internet Mail client (as opposed to a workgroup/corporate mail client) Christopher
