I got a dial tone from the modem speaker.

Now it just won't dial it just starts screaming at the tone.

So I'm gonna skip what you recommended below. Unless you think it's still a
good idea.

In minicom and Serial port setup there are some lines that say:

C - Callin Program    :
D - Callout Program    :

Neither contain any values. Should there be a script or anything in there????

Hey..... it only took 30 hours to get a dialtone on this thing..... But I've
learned a lot and have most of these messages stored for later review. So
there's much more to be learned.
