Slackware CD scanning hangs

Hi there,

        Been running Slackware Linux and booting using Loadlin. Recently I made
the file rc.cdrom executable, and now when I boot Linux hangs when
scanning for the CD. How can I get Linux to boot so I can change the
rc.cdrom permissions back to non-executable?
