I've decided to start a new search for the "ultimate" mail client now
that I'm running a newer version of Linux (Slackware 7.0). I've
compiled and installed several today but I got stumped on what I
thought was going to be a simple install of "adora". The docs say to
just run "install" (if my wish version was up to date and in /usr/bin,
both of which are true).

Here is what I get when I run the install script....

/usr/local/src/adora-0.0.5b> ./install
Application initialization failed: no display name and no $DISPLAY environment variable
Error in startup script: invalid command name "wm"
    while executing
"wm title . "Adora $version Install""
    (file "./install" line 31)

I was compiling in an xterm but I get the same message when I log in to
a VT as root.

I find nothing in the man page for bash about DISPLAY. In the man page
for xterm, I find the DISPLAY env variable mentioned but nothing about
what it should be set to (and I have no clue why mine is set to
nothing). If I type "echo $DISPLAY" at my prompt (as root) I just get
another prompt, ie. an empty string.

Not sure about the "wm" error? Can someone tell me how to fix this?
It's not real important but I would like to try adora for the heck of
it. TIA...
