Hi folks
I been fiddling with RH 5.2 distro., and ma now ready to build a home
network. I am asking all you fellow newbies and the gurus who are on this
list giving of there time is wisdom for some recommendations and answers.

1. I have three PCs.
PC-A is a pure linux box (Red Hat 5.2) set up as a
sever with dial-up access to the internet.

        PC-B is a win 95 box.

PC-C will be a dual boot (win 95/RH 6.1) as soon as I load it.

Question 1: All 3 PCs have network cards. How can I find out what type of
cards they are if they are compatible with Linux?

Question 2: What is the best (and cheapest) way to go about building this
            network?

Question 3: I have very little knowledge of networking... Where can I find
information on the basics of networking? (Web sites, HOWTOs
            and books)
Question 4: Must I get a hub(?) so that all the PCs can recieve email and
access the web? If I do need a hub, then where can I get a
            good one cheap?

These just the first few questions... Hope I did not make this email too
long winded...

If I've missed anything please let me know.

Thanks for the assistance.
Chris
