 The problem is that you don't have the c++ part of gcc installed.
 I can't seem to find a redhat 6.0 ftp site to look at, but in 6.1
 there are two compiler packages

 egcs-1.1.2-24.i386.rpm
 and
 egcs-c++-1.1.2-24.i386.rpm

 it looks like you have the first installed but not the second, so look
 for an rpm on your cd that looks like egcs-c++-somethingsomething.i386.rpm
 and install that.

        ok found it. The name is
        egcs-c++-1.1.2-12.i386.rpm
        (i think)

 OR. don't bother compiling it yourself.. you can grab a precompiled x86
 binary here:

 ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/contrib/libc6/i386/blackbox-0.51.2-1.rhl6.i386.rpm

 and checkout http://www.rpmfind.net/

 It lets you search for rpms by a few different criteria, and almost brings
 rpm installation up to the caliber of deb's.

Someone who's used redhat will have to help you here.
