I used NETCFG. A good idea to first upgrade PPPD to the latest level via RPM
also INITSCRIPTS.
My isp used pap authentication and once I had that configured (just required
userid and pw) then LCP
gave me a solid connection. There is some good HOWTOs on PPP. Bill Unruh has
a very good one.
Just do a web search or look in the howtos on your distribuition cd.
Also be sure to set /dev/modem to /dev/ttyS(whatever).
SETSERIAL is also very useful.
