My modem is detected as "HCF Modem Enumerator" under M$. Is it different from HSP? A few words to conlude about the internal modems: 1. even under M$, I get some troubles, because the DOS support affect irq 4 (same as serial port 0 where is plugged the mouse) to my modem, and the irq conflict can not be resolved because I can't access to the DOS configuration in the panel control (I don't want to destroy my bios as it did work for a while before I tried the DOS support). 2. what a pity these winmodems, I still don't know whether mine is one of those, but its configuration just upset me. Anything that is not Linux friendly should not exist. 3. I feel like anybody who wants to buy a modem should choose an external one. By now my setup is corrupted in both OSes, and I can't access to net from home. 2 solutions: to burn my modem and wait for cable or ADSL or to burn my modem and buy an external. IMHO, the internal modems aren't worth another message in that thread. sorry for this last bandwith waste. Charlie Rulleau
