Thanks alot for your kind reply about SoundBlaster Live! ! I've just
configured the board and it works great!
I also used the information contained on
http://www.euronet.nl/~mailme/index3.html .
There is only one small (design :-) ) problem:
To load emu10k1.o module, soundcore.o must me loaded FIRST. I added the
modprobe soundcore.o
modprobe emu10k1.o
in /etc/rc.d/rc.local, but this doesn't seem to be an elegant (and
standard) solution - am I right? Cause at booting, the system finds
first the
alias sound emu10k1
line in /etc/conf.modules and it give alot of nasty messages about
"unresolved symbols".
My question resumes to this: is there any possibility to load the modules
in the correct order through the "standard" RedHat scripts and/or
/etc/conf.modules? Cause I *love* that straight line of green OK's when
the system is loading ... :-)
Many thanks again,
Razvan
