HELP!
I posted that mail a week ago on the scsi list, but it looks like it
wasn't of interest for them.
You'll see everything you need in the attachement, here is a summary:
K6-2 350 with mandrake 6.1 (kernel 2.2.13)
3 hd ide (hda, hdb and hdc), 64M ram
a sound card SB and an EXTERNAL modem (everything working, THX for that)
scsi adapter advansys 940U (ultra scsi) automatic termination
w/ id2: CDROM Plextor 40x
id3: Traxdata 4x/12x (terminated)
The cdwriter works well under M$, and I'm unable to mount it under linux
(for example with the mandrake CD), the scsi chain falls, and the system
hangs for a while periodically. any idea ? TIA
Charlie
PS: why is the DMA feature disabled for ide0 and ide1 ?
