I have been able to compile a 2.3.47 kernel with USB support added, and with
the QuickCam connected bootup messages seems to indicate that it is detected.

However, I am not able to find anything in linux/Documentation that says
anything about drivers for this camera, nor am I able to find anything anywhere
else (I checked google.com, metalab.unc.edu, freshmeat.net) about how to get
something up on my screen with it.

Does anyone here know about somewhere to look or is it premature because of
USB supported software still being scarce (in the Linux world)?

I can find stuff for the parallel port QuickCam, but that software doesn't
seem to be split into driver-application and accesses the camera through the
parallel port directly, making it a little diffucult for me to tweak.

Therefore, if you have anything about using this camera with Linux I would
love to hear about it.

Thanks,

Peter
