Hi, Well, i_did_it. Ok.. heres the story.. I had a probelm recognising my zipdrive so I reintalled the kernel source and reconfigured it. Just then some thing called "/sbin/installkernel" caught my eye and I asked for a man page on that and did not get it. I ran it. I have no idea what it would do. I boot from a CONFIG.SYS menu thingy, so I copied the zimage to a place on my /dosc/ and shutdown, while rebooting I got the nasty LI and it hung. So, I decide that all was not lost and I promptly put my FIPS rescue disk and restorr'd the old image, and that was before my linux partitioning... :( So I could not boot linux from there on. I know that I am done and I was stupid, but am hoping against hope if I could try something to put things back? Or atleast, as a last resort, claim all the Linux partition back into DOS and redo the installation?
