Sorry the email came out looking like this. It was all broke up when i sent
it. As for minicom stating "can't" it did state just that. As for
ctrl-alt.del it did nto work either I did not however try Alt-f2. 
        I am using Linux Redhat 6.0 as for the kernal number I would not know
where to locate that. I have not tried the setserial command as of yet,
because I was nto sure how to place it. I did try the statserial which
should have giving me a reply back as to which piece of hardware was
assossiated with which Serial port. I will try the setserial though and see
how that helps.
Also pardon the sentence structure, it is not one of my strong suits.
