Each NIC needs an IRQ, and it's conceivable that your system is so loaded that you won't be able to find two more IRQs to use. In typical systems, IRQ 5, 9, 10, and 11 are available. 2. You need to set up routes to the various networks. This is easily done by adding lines to /wherever_Red_Hat_puts_it/init.d/network, similar to the ones there for the two existing networks. 3. You need to do whatever is appropriate with Masquerading and firewalling. You don't say what you do for the two existing networks, but more LANs can complicate the ipchains ruleset. 4. Look at your existing system load. A P-II is overkill for a simple router, but if the host is doing other things, you need to consider system load. Whether these are "problems" or just "details" is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose. ------------------------------------"Never tell me the odds!"--- Ray Olszewski -- Han Solo Palo Alto, CA [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------------- - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-newbie" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please read the FAQ at http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs
