I'm not sure if I understand your question. The "whois" database contains
information about domains, not about individuals. Specifically, it lists the
contacts (admin, tech, and business) for domains in non-country TLDs -- com,
org, edu, net, gov, and (probably) mil and int. I think there are other
whois servers for at least some country domains (anyone know of one for .us,
BTW?).
The whois database doesn't contain information abotu individuals and their
e-mail addresses. I think some of the big search engines have databases for
that kind of search, but I don't know the details.
