This one has been asked so many times before, i do not mean that in a bad
way, what it does give you is a lot of reading in the archives at;

http://www.geocrawler.com/lists/3/Linux/47/0
Use the search engine there to find a "Keyword"

In a nutshell, you are the one most qualified to judge which is beter by
using them both, unfortunalty not a valid option for the normal everyday
computer user as they only have one machine.

However the catch phrase comes to mind;

If one wants to use linux install Redhat,
If one wants to "Learn how linux works" use Slackware.

You will undoubably get mails saying, use X-distro, its the best,
fantastic, unbeliveable, unmissable, etc etc. I have used most distro's in
my opinion Slackware = Linux.
