Hello, I am new to the list, and new to the non-Macintosh/Windows world for that matter. I have quite a bit to learn, but thought I'd ask help on a specific issue. I recently installed Slackware 7 on a partition of a Compaq laptop (Armada 1560DM), and while most everything is working as expected, when I open KDE, the fonts have a distorted, almost bitmapped appearance. Everything in xf86Config seems to be in order. Any suggestions or urls for some online resources would be much appreciated. thanks, Kevin - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-newbie" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please read the FAQ at http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs
