Could I ask you to explain a bit more here? Where is the "config.tel" file
located? From your description, it sounds like it is on the Novell server
... if so, you'd do better to pose this question on a Novell support list
than a Linux support list

But perhaps I'm misreading your message. If so, please describe a bit more
about how Linux manages these diskless workstations and what app uses the
"config.tel" file.

PS No such thing as "linux 5.2". Remind us of what you are actually using
(e.g., Red Hat 5.2, Mandrake 5.2, SuSE 5.2 -- they are the only ones I can
think of offhand that had a 5.2 version).
