Consider the following senario,

A mail is anserwed by Friend_1,
Friend_1's answer is repyled to by Friend_2
and so on and so on, before we know it we have the above text, X amount of
times in the mail along with,

 quote marks ">" + "> >" + "> > >" etc etc.

Some folks still pay for there Inet connection by time or Bytes, please
take into consideration this rather small and seeminly unimportant fact.

+ It makes reading the mail(s) very much more user friendly.

majordomo will replace what you have deleted  in the reply it sends to all
subscribers, so no one misses anything.

Thanks to all who do what i ask, and if it is of any consolation i do
sometimes forget to do what i ask  when reply i myself reply to a mail, but
when i read the reply i sent i think, "bah!".
