The newer version of zgv has better support for some video cards, with this
support it can do better resolution and color depth. I think the default is
to 'autoprobe' for a video card, I remember seeing in the config file that
this /could/ have some problems. It didn't say /what/ the problems would
look like. Do you think this could be causing it?
in the /etc/vga directory there is some config file, I forget there names.
Anyways try editing those files for your video card (at your own risk), it
is REALLY well commented and IIRC there is also a man page for it.
