I have exactly the same problem, and I tried what you suggested. I get an error message in pine saying [Not allowed to change header "From"]. I tried reading the pine faq and in particular I quote from http://www.washington.edu/pine/faq/custom.html#xtocid301935 "...In Pine 4.00, users can add allow-changing-from to the feature-list in their pinerc file (by editing the file, not via SETUP CONFIGURATION); recompiling is not necessary. " Since I run 4.10, I tried setting that in my .pinerc (and /etc/pine.conf) and still land up with the same error. Then I got the sources and I am unsure about which Linux option to use to compile. Any option I choose gives me the foll. error: ---------------- /usr/bin/ld: cannot open -lshadow: No such file or directory collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [pine] Error 1 ---------------- Bail me out please.. -Karthik. ------------------------------------- Whatever you want to do, you have to do something else first. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-newbie" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please read the FAQ at http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs
