I'm running RH 6.1 on an Intel machine. I recently bought a new modem from a retailer who is also an ISP running Linux on his sever. (The box says AmJet) He said to turn off com2 in bios before I install it and it will work fine. I know some of you guys don't care for gui's but I'm trying to set this up through Gnome. I've tried to query every "port" on the list , all the tty's and cua's ect. I either get "modem not responding" or "modem is busy". What to try next? Arnman
