I am in the process of getting a 6.2 iso image at this minute so i cant say
for sure, but if it is made the same way as 6.1 you can do an upgrade,
which should not destroy any of your old configuration files.
No its not possable in simple terms to "patch" it to 6.2 but it should be
possable to "upgrade" it.
