Of course if one reads the man page one will see all options.

That your source tree is either not in its origanal state, or the patch
file is made against another kernel version.
Note the offset messages, however when one uses the -s option it makes it a
lot eaiser to SEE ERROR messages, as thats all that will be written to the
screen.
If you want to send me the patch file as an attachment, PLS, dont CC to the
list if you do send it.
