I have the same problem. I find that it disappears if I log out of X and
relogin. When I've been in X for a couple days and I try and load up my web
site (http://www.totalgeek.org), which is on my local machine, it takes NS
about 2 mins to load/render the page. However if I exit out of X and try it
again it comes up right quick.
X also seems to hog more and more memory the longer I leave it on.
My suggestion. Whenever you leave you computer, exit out of X and logout.
