When I need to configure 3Com cards, I normally use 3Com's own setup program, which runs under MS-DOS. So I haven't used Becker's setup program. But from the "usage" line you sent, I'd *guess* you run it as follows to do the port setup: 3c5x9setup -F 10base2 If there is an option to run off PnP, it is probably one of the undescribed flags ([-aEfFsvVw]) in the "usage" line you quoted. You'll have to look at the docs for this program to figure out which one. But before you worry about this last part, boot the system and run "ifconfig -a" to see if the card is (a) being recognized by its module and (b) assigned to a reasonable IRQ and IO base (that is, not one that conflicts with another NIC or a serial port). If it is, you probably don't have PnP enabled on the card. At 03:37 PM 4/8/00 +0000, Darren Wyn Rees wrote: >On Sat, Apr 08, 2000 at 08:13:31AM -0700, Ray Olszewski wrote: > >> Two things: >> >> 1.
