I am quite new to linux, nonetheless, I have been given the task of creating
a linux router to give access to our internet service to three small
businesses. As far as I can tell I have the routing tables set correctly
and access to the proxy is available to the three subnets. The problem is
in stopping traffic from crossing subnet lines. The businesses require that
their networks' privacy be preserved. The only way that I can see this
working is by implementing a firewall or something.

I have looked at firewall files and to be honest it looks like Greek. I am
not a programmer, and don't intend to be for some time. Is there anyone out
there who could point me into the direction of a reference guide for
configuring firewalls?

I would appreciate if anyone could tell me if I am going way off course and
that there actually is a much easier way to do this.

Thanks for any help
