I tried manually setting DISPLAY using the assigned address, 

set DISPLAY=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:0.0

but for some reason that did not work (for some reason it continued to retain
the old display setting). However, perhaps setting it for each app as I launch
it will. I'll have to try that. I'll have to try ssh too (later when I'm back
home again). (and Junopine too).

BTW what security holes am opening if I run an app using 

DISPLAY=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:0.0 xterm

for example?
