jdk1.2.2 needs glibc 2.1.2. AFAIK RH 5.2 includes 2.0.something. I don't
know how exactly, but that causes this error (I had the same one on
Slackware, until I installed glibc2.1.2, and then java just dumped core
because of some other lib).
