Hi,
Yes, sndconfig is available in mandrake. Actually,
i think mandrake is based on redhat.
But sndconfig doesn't detect my spound card. Says
no device is available. So when i want to conf the
card manually, sndconfig gives me wierd choices for
I/O Range & IRQ's & DMA's. I couldn't possibly get the
setting which i have in windows..
Anyways, i tried to do the config using pnpdump &
modifiying the config file & copying it to
/etc/isapnp.conf. Now during boot. It tells me my
sound module has failed but my MIDI is OK. I am not
sure what that means.
I am try & see some more & see what happens.. also,
how do i check if my sound card is enabled. Is there
any utility to play sound files of popular formats
like wav.
Thanks all for the help
Pavan
