I would suggest you look at _Running Linux_ by Matt
Welsh. It is published by O'Reilly & Associates. It
is in the third edition. Other books about Linux
may come and go, but this is one of the books that
has stood the test of time. They also have many excellent
books on other aspects of Unix and Linux.
