The message "signal 11" could be interpreted as a memory problem, or a sum
of "exit codes" from fsck, (note) fsck calls 'fsck.fstype' read the manual
pages for the different programs, start with fsck it explanes how it all
works.

"signal 11" is caused by;

1) bad or flakey memory.
2) An over clocked cpu.
3) Not enough memory.
