I have a K6-2 450 at work, it makes a lot of noise, i have noticed a
detriation of fan speed, but i certanly dont worry about it, what you could
check is that you have all your motherboard jumpers set correctly and that
your CPU is NOT overclocked.
I dont know if apmd will show actual voltages from the BIOS, but you might
want to see if apm could help you, even tho its more for systems with a
backup battery Eg, laptops, i have never used it so i cannot comment.
