You know, I have run a dual-boot configuration before, so I know
what to do (usually.) It seems to me, I would have been OK as
long as I had installed Windows (or DOS) first.
I can't seem to get the darn floppy to boot into DOS.
I have tried many diskettes,
many I'm certain were formatted with the /s option
and I always hear the floppy "activate," (it sounds like there's activity.
Sometimes I get a "missing operating system" and sometimes I see
"MSDOS loading" and nothing further. Still other times I see "non-system
disk error -- replace and press any key" or something to that effect.
But yes, I haven't yet installed LILO onto the hard drive (I just installed
this OS a couple of days ago) and do indeed boot Linux from a floppy, with
the image on the floppy too (it takes forever to load.)
Anyone see what must be something obvious, which I undoubtably have overlooked?
