Thank you very much for the extensive and valuable comment to my E-Mail on
this subject. I was very convinced from my results and did not doubt an
instant of their general validity. It is sometimes a small step between an
succcessfull measure, let me asume a compilation, and a failed one, originating
a lot of post troubles. I add your comments anyway to my SuSe-Manual in the
section Kernel-compilation, and I hope I will not have to ask in sooner times
for help after a "panic kernel".
