Yes. Try in Lynx the same URL that worked in Netscape, not one that is
merely on the same Web site. Details follow.

I just tried it here, and I can open this URL:

        http://www.merkur.de/aktuell/hp/index.html

in both Netscape (on a Windows host) and Lynx (on a Linux Debian 2.2 host).

On the other hand, this URL:

        http://www.merkur.de/aktuell/

generates the same error you report when I try to access it from Netscape
under Windows.

Might the difference be simply that you tried different URLs in the two cases? 

If not ... I'd say either you've left something out of your description or
you have some configuration problem at your end.
