hi all,

i know there's a tool for running windows software under linux (wine).
It would be useful but, since i've got win2k installed on an ntfs
partition, i can't write to that partition. So it's quite impossible to
use windows application as 99% of them wanna write something on the hd
even if you actually just open and close them.

I was wondering if it's possible to install windows software directly on
an ext2 partition, and, using wine, to normally use it.
Obviously, i don't want to waste my data on ext2 partitions, and i'm not
sure if my idea will work.

There is someone who already tried this?

thanks,
val
