Hello,

I have just installed w2k professional with NTFS over win95.
On another partition I have Linux with Kernel 2.2.14

Now to move files across the file systems I have:

1. If I want to copy files from win to Linux:
being in Linux: mount NT filesystem as a root
in read-only mode (kernel doesn't support read/write access)

2. to copy from Linux to win:
* pack all the files under Linux in one package (.tar.gz), otherwise
all the long names will be cut and there will be problems with spaces.
* use ldir.exe program (supplied with SuSE 6.2) to copy that file
to windoze partition.

Well, maybe someone can suggest an easier way to do all that?

P.S. I also had an idea to create small FAT32 partition for exchanging
the data, but there are limitations in the size of HDD.

Best regards,
Alexander Agibalov
