Did you also say =m to the (E)ide driver>?
it looks to me as if you have defined the ide driver as a module but the
module cannot be loaded as the partition is not yet mounted.
I am not an expert on this subject, but the request_mod means
request_module block-major-3 which is ide-probe.
That cant be found simply because the partition is not mounted.
Perhaps a lilo param could sole the problem.
