Ok with the Chipmonk, can it read Quick Basic files ??
I mean, that I have the xfbb software here to run with a radiobbs here, and needs my
antennarotator to get controled :-)
You helped me with the KCT that also can controle an antennarotator, but my rotator is
wired up
for a socalled ARS system. Here is what the author writes me:
***********************************************
EA4TX wrotes:
About your inquiry about the ARS & bwBASIC I suppose it will not work.
The ARSWIN is bassed on Visual Basic compiler and a DLL that reads from the LPT
hardware the values.
So as It's a low level routine, I suppose it will not runs on any vistual
machine under Linux.
Sorry for this bad conclusion.
***********************************************
As you can see, I have a DOS software and a Windows software that can controle the
rotator.
The dos as well as the software is controled by scriptfiles in the XFBB software:
x arsturn /a:180 ;means the rotator shall get positioned in 180 degrees.
xc arsturn /a:180 ; means that if a call is comming from 180 degrees the rotator shall
turn to that
position.
Both ways is used in dos and windows.
I also got a basic software -not written for my hardware- from an Australian ham. Its
written in
Quick Basic.
I cannot see what is the best way, Maybe to wire the rotator around, and use the KCT,
but then
the patch file does not work. Its for kernel 2.2.13, and my SuSE 6.4 is running kernel
2.2.14. I
have patched it, but the KCT board cannot be found.

I am not quite understanding it, but most of it. I'll try to see if I have Chipmunk
here.
What is your suggestion to me ??. What will be the most easy to do ??.
