Hello!
The hierarchy under /etc/skel is for that. Basically, you keep customised
files that will appear in every new user home directory in /etc/skel.
If default runlevel is 3, your Linux box will start in text mode. If it's 5,
graphics will appear by default, Windows-style. See in /etc/inittab for the
default runlevel.
