Hi,

I have a double-boot system. On the main part I have a Linux SuSE
6.1 installed. I currently run kernel 2.2.16. On the other part I run
Windows98. I use that mainly to connect to the Internet, as I
cannot use Linux for that (due to a winmodem). Any way, on the
Linux side I have to accounts set-up that both do work for a
Windows-based application. Regularly each account will need to
put its results on the Windows (vfat) partition.

When one of the accounts has mounted the vfat-partition to
exchange data, the other account can't access it. This is my
problem. I'd like to have the partition mounted in such a way that
both accounts can read/write data on it in parallel. I've tried
mounting the partition as root, but that didn't help. I've tried fidlling
with the parameters in /etc/fstab but to no avail.

Can anybody suggest a way that will work?
TIA,
