Well i dunno about the rest of em.. but I know that the linux setups
at http://www.linuxvoodoo.org/ are excellent machines..

it worked right off the first powerup.. games net the lot.. purrred like
a kitten.. I'd recommend them to anyone..
(linuxvoodoo.org can pay me for this later :-)

I'm looking for a new PC (again), but this time I want to get one with Linux
pre-installed. I've installed linux on several PC's now, and quite frankly
I'ld like to just plug it in and get to work this time, no muss, no fuss.
I see quite a list at linux.com of vendors theat sell Linux preinstalled on
all sorts of systems (Celeron, PIII, Athlon, Desktops, Workstations, Servers,
Laptopt ...). Way to go, it is good to see the number of vendors out there
supporting this platform.
The problem I'm running into is choice overload. Does anyone out there have
any experiance (good or bad) with these vendors? The two I would like to go
with VALinux and Dell appear to not sell Athlons with Linux. I can't
understand why. I'm running RH6.0 on an Athlon at Home, and it works great and
screams. I love it.
I have seen this vendor called QLITech, which builds a pretty hot system for
not to much $$, but I'm not sure of their reputation.
Any leads.
BTW I'm planning on getting a how PC, Athlon 900MHz, 512MB Ram (Geeze I
thought it was cool 5 years ago to get a HD that big!) 20GB HD, 32MB 3-D
video, etc., etc.
Thanks in advance.
